Association Française de Cristallographie

The French Crystallographic Association can provide up to five grants to young (PhD or post-doc) researchers

To apply, you should follow the same procedure as below for the support from the XTOP organization (contrary to what was indicated before, the selection will be made directly by the XTOP organizers).

Any young scientist (Phd or postdoc) can apply, regardless of his/her nationality or country of work. It is just required to be a member of the AFC (20€ for students, 30€ otherwise) to obtain the grant.

If you apply for this grant, you should register but wait for the grant answer before paying the registration (the grant will cover the registration costs).

Support from the XTOP 2014 organization

The XTOP organization will support up to three PhD students, by waiving the registration fees. To apply, please send the following information in a single pdf file to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , by June 30th, 2014:

  • A short CV including your research subject and publications
  • A motivation letter explaining your motivation to participate to XTOP
  • A support letter from your supervisor
